Cafe Olive @ East Coast Road

Top left: Soup of the day - Mushroom soup, Black pepper chicken served with baked potatoes and vege, Char-grilled NZ ribeye with rosemary, Creme Brulee, Brownie served with vanilla ice cream and muddy mud-pie. (comes with drinks too.. we had ice lemon tea.)

My friend had salmon pasta.. it was good!!! but he was too eager to eat his dinner i didnt have the chance to take a picture.. so.. hmm

I must say the food was really great. really reminds me of my secondary sch days when i visit this tiny restaurant with wynne at sin ming.. set meals for just $7.00?!?! that comes with soup, entree, dessert and tea/coffee.
this has exactly the same concept just that its a little pricier but still pocket friendly!
The set dinners are going at $16.90+ to $25.90+, i thought it was rather worth it... Good place to try out, nice quiet ambiance for good chill out. Rmb to bring ur jacket while u chill out.. its rather cold.

Mushroom soup is thick and creamy with mushroom bits.. the chicken is nicely grilled with a hint of burn parts at the corner.. not overpowering, i had the steak done-ness at medium, turns out that thats what they served me. Baked potatoes were soft with a combination of sweet carrots and zucchini?! Plus they were rather generous on the desserts, so i loved them all.

To find:

Haha! unlike the name of the shop says... we didnt manage to take pictures of ourselves humans.
What to do.. the guys arent like the guys i know in AnF. HAHA. =X

Just like how i recommend this shop to my fellow friends.. Say cheese, a definite place you should try. why? they have great good, great service, great ambiance. For the amount i pay, i am very willing to spend in this restaurant.

I've visited this restaurant twice, once during the busy period. once in a not-so-busy period. both i've had a pleasant experience.

So far, i've tried..
1)beef lasagna - AWESOME!
2)baked macaroni - taste like nacho cheese and mozzarella cheese only.. but special.
3) Aglio Olio with clams - spaghetti was very hard at first, but once we request for a recook.. they gave us excellent pasta and a complimentary soup while we waited.
4) Seafood pasta - NO COMPLAINS.
5) Baked salmon with couscous look-a-like rice. i forgot..=S - Not tt bad.. but salmon taste is strong. my friend loved it though.
6) Wild mushroom soup - Very nice. with walnuts as garnish. Nice and fragrant.
7) French Onion soup - I LOVE IT (nicer than the french stall.. etc.)

Of cos, i've to exclude the cheesecake cos i haven tried it yet..
Starters, Pastas and baked items are definitely the choices to make..Since say cheese explains their specialty right?
